Priorities 1. Puppet 3.6.1 - bugfix release for 3.6.0 2. Hiera 1.3.3 - bugfix release 3. Puppet 3.7/4.0 planning 4. Facter 2.1 release upcoming 5. Native Facter 0.1.0 Commentary We released puppet 3.6.0! Many thanks to all the people who've tried it out and given feedback. We have a few bugs to fix of course, and we're hard at work on 3.6.1, planned for the end of this week. It's been a while since we had a Hiera bugfix release and we have a couple fixes in the repo which have seen repeat requests, so we're also aiming to get Hiera 1.3.3 out toward the end of the week (or maybe the beginning of the next). Beyond that, there have been some more detailed discussions about just what we can accomplish in puppet 3.7 and puppet 4.0 - this conversation has largely gelled and is reflected in tickets.puppetlabs.com. That's a lot of detail to wade through however, so Andy and I will write up an outline of the plan - look for that the last week of May. On the facter front, we decided we'd like to target a facter 2.1 release for mid-June. That will have the current payload of the facter-2 branch, plus as many facter pull requests we can work through in the interim. That release will also mark the retirement of the facter-2 branch, which has caused some confusion - more details to come as we get closer. Last, native facter work is continuing well and is approaching parity for built-in facts. Our release team is working on the tooling to build it as well, which will allow for some early CI testing.
