- Facter 2.4.0 - 3.7.4 Release - 4.0.0 Release - Puppet Server 1.0.2 Release - Support for Puppet Doc that can replace the old RDoc based doc tool Client Team We released Facter 2.4.0, with a variety of improvements, including pathing changes for the forthcoming all-in-one puppet-agent. On the subject of pathing changes, all the components of all-in-one puppet-agent (namely: puppet, facter, cfacter, mcollective, hiera) will have pathing changes. If you want to follow along at home, PUP-3632 <https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/browse/PUP-3632> has the details of the current plan. We’ll be releasing new versions of those components over the next week implementing those path changes, so look for a series of release announcements! Language Team We have never been closer to release of Puppet Doc 1.0, Hiera 1.4.0, Puppet 3.7.4, and Puppet 4.0.0 and we are busy pushing the last bits through. The Puppet 3.7.4 release will not be the last in the 3x series and we are planning to do a 3.7.5 in orchestration with the 4.0.0 release to ensure we are as compatible as possible with 4.0.0 in the last 3x 'future parser'. This means that future-parser related major issues will get fixed both in 3.7.5 and 4.0.0. Most recently we have had fun and games with PUP-3755 where the old ways of handling environments (i.e. not very well) came back and bit us. We just released Geppetto 4.3.1 which has added support for Puppet 4.0 language. See https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20GEP%20AND%20fixVersion%20%3D%20%224.3.1%22%20ORDER%20BY%20updated%20DESC%2C%20priority%20DESC%2C%20created%20ASC for a list of fixed issues. Puppet Server Team We released Puppet Server 1.0.2 last week. Hooray! You may be wondering what happened to 1.0.1; we found some last minute bugs in the packaging for it, so we burned that version number. 1.0.2 was a bugfix release; for details, see https://docs.puppetlabs.com/puppetserver/latest/release_notes.html . We’re very close to finishing up the URL changes for Puppet 4.0, and we’re working on the corresponding changes for Puppet Server 2.0 so that we can launch the two products on the same day. Hoping to have development builds for testing Real Soon Now! -- Kylo Ginsberg | k...@puppetlabs.com | irc: kylo | twitter: @kylog -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Developers" group.
