The 'external_hostname' fact is in the file
/etc/puppet/testing/modules/facts/files/ec2_public_hostname.rb
I assume "facts" is the name of your module, so it should
be: /etc/puppet/testing/modules/facts/lib/facter/ec2_public_hostname.rb
