In "Pro Linux System Administration" Mr. Turnbull discusses Cobbler and Puppet In "Pro Puppet" he discusses Foreman and Puppet.
Would anyone out there be willing and able to talk about the differences between Cobbler and Foreman as they relate to Puppet and what factors I should consider in choosing one of them ? I want to use Puppet with Something-Else to manage a group of servers and desktops and other machines in a centralized, automated, configurable and repeatable fashion. I want to be able to do operating system installations, patches and/or updates, and maintenance activity.
