As noted on the puppet-dev list by Jeffrey Ollie, 2.7.8rc1 had a patch mistakenly applied before release. So here is 2.7.8rc2, now with less extra patches.
Puppet 2.7.8rc2 is available. 2.7.8rc2 contains everything that was being previewed in the 2.7.7rc series as well as some new content.
