|Hi,

After many attempts we found that the value of path variable in the fileserver.conf has
to end up with "files". Actually I didn't find any place
where this is explicitly documented. Why it is important to have the "files" ending and
not just arbitrary directory name? Another thing is "mount_point"
section described on the fileserver.conf page:
http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/file_serving.html
[mount_point]
    path /path/to/files
    allow *.domain.com
    deny *.wireless.domain.com

In our||fileserver.conf for||puppet installation 2.7.6 we don't have
[mount_point] section and instead [files] section which is not mentioned at all
on this page.
May be somebody could clarify why the "files" ending is absolutely necessary
and how [mount_point] correlates with [files] section? Thank you.

Best regards,

Pavel
