Yes, we are working on packaging Fedora 17, but as Brian suspected, we haven't worked out the kinks in packaging against Ruby 1.9.x. If someone has patches to submit against the spec file in conf/redhat/puppet.spec that will allow for a ruby 1.9 build, please submit a pull request. If you want to help, but need pointers, I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
