Is it possible to use a pre-generated CA with Puppet? Instead of having it create it on first start-up? I have an internal root CA that I want to use with Puppet. I simply tried replacing the CA files in /var/lib/puppet/ssl but that didn't seem to work. It might be that I wasn't sure if the ca.pass file (which contains the CA private key pass phrase) is encoded in any special way. I just edited that and put in the plain text pass phrase.
I don't want to disable the Puppet CA, I just want to use a pre-generated CA so that all certificates created agents come from my root CA. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
