That's not the issue at all I think. Is that source.list entry from a howto?
Have you tried the instructions here: http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/puppetlabs_package_repositories.html#for-debian-and-ubuntu Because what apt is making of your configuration is plain wrong.
