I downloaded and installed the open-source puppet on a CentOS 6 virtual machine. I downloaded and installed the client on a Mac OS X 10.10
So... how do I make it do something? The docs on the puppet site are pretty useless for this... the docs for open source wind up looping back to refer to the enterprise product, and they go into great detail about installing, and then about all these wonderful things you can do, but not a single word about how to do a "Hello World!" and just see one client checking in. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
