While PE 2016.1.1 runs Puppet 4.4, not 4.9 ( https://docs.puppet.com/pe/2016.2/overview_version_table.html#puppet-enterprise-2016x, https://docs.puppet.com/puppet/4.4/type.html#scheduledtask), the trigger options look to have been added in 4.1 so you should be covered. Are your agents running the puppet-agent from 2016.1.1 as well, or is it possible they are running 4.0?
