oki, BTw, I just updated to 2.6.28-16-generic on a ubuntu 9.10, I noticed vga=791 works perfectly. I think I put it few months ago to make it work with 2.6.28-15, it didn't work (no error msg though) but I left it and forgot it. And with this newer kernel, it works
