There may be something we can do in the pure.seed preseed file for
ubiquity?  Perhaps having an empty list will install no language packs,
something to test.

Status in Puredyne liveCD/DVD/USB/HD: New

Bug description:
if networking is available when running the livecd, using ubiquity to install 
will additionally download the language packs for the selected language from 
the internet (which brings along openoffice.org).

df -h from 2010-01-15T0023 -dev.iso liveCD installed in virtualbox shows 2.8G 
used

language-pack-en and language-pack-gnome-en are installed (but no other 
language packs)
openoffice.org is installed too
