Addition to previous post Added sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base add the line to the end options snd-hda-intel model=dell save the file, and exit reboot the pc Internal soundcard is go, as well as my griffin imic usb soundcard (which worked straight off). Any ideas 'bout wifi and the built-in 3g datacard would be much appreciated. I will post more info re the datacard in a bit. Also, I got no rt kernel atm, which is a pain (please see previous post for more info) Cheers, Jbz
