Hi all,

I have been dabbling with p:d for a little while. I downloaded
leek&patato a little before its actual release (I think sometime
around December). I should probably upgrade. I note that in the
leek&patato docs one is advised to set apt repos to lenny while my
install uses testing. A quick google suggests that Lenny is current
stable so I guess I would be downgrading?

But I have a more pressing issue. I have suggested to use p:d for an
exhibit that uses a touchscreen computer. I have installed p:d on a
USB drive and named one of my partitions live-rw as per instructions.
I can install software and my home directory is persistent, however,
/etc does not seem to. More specifically I loose my
/etc/network/interfaces on every reboot and /etc/resolv.conf (but this
is not a biggie right now) and the worst of all, my
/etc/X11/xorg.conf. I have perused the archives and I see that in
fact it is a standard p:d behaviour. I can see that p:d makes a
backup of my last xorg.conf file. I would like to find out how I can
disable the automatic configuration of X as my xorg.conf is very
specific for the touchscreen that I am using.

I need to solve this issue ASAP and right now I have got all the
software running properly and all is ready except for the fact that
after each reboot we loose touchscreen capacity. I would rather not
go through a complete OS installation (I guess getting debian or
ubuntu directly onto the computer would have been the most ideal
solution).

Any ideas?

Thanks
