If you're using the live install (liveHD, liveUSB or liveCD/DVD), then
yes you are using a RT kernel and the system is already configured to
take advantage of that.

Feel free to add the entry, it's a wiki and we welcome everyone to
contribute to the online documentation, so if you think of any
improvements or things that could be changed, just go ahead, we don't
always have time to do it unfortunately ...
As a matter of fact, we're a bit busy now trying a new kernel for the
new version of pure:dyne. More news about this soon ...
