Hi Aymeric,

Thanks for the hint, which outputs:

03:03.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG [Calexico2]
Network Connection (rev 05)

(command executed from HD-installed Ubuntu)

Short answer; no, it was made from Ubuntu.

Long; due to a dead DVD drive, Ubuntu was installed from USB key onto hard
drive, and from there, P:D iso installed over the Ubuntu on USB key.
At first, when booting from the USB key, the Ubuntu screen still showed up,
hence fdisk and Unetbootin, which may have automatically added a live-rw
partition.

Inidentally, I just recalled coming across something regarding read/write
limitations of USB keys before they die, but maybe this has been resolved
enough for P:D to be viable on USB?
In any case, I'll try to take a read at the P:D archive.

Speaking of Windows, I'm looking into possibly running it (for AutoCAD, etc.)
within QEMU or VirtualBox or something like that.

Rich
