If you use karmic, you can save yourself time and just type the
following to configure your sources automatically:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:puredyne-team

It will take care of everything and you just need to to use your fav
package manager from there.

If you have a custom Ubuntu install, this script is provided by
the python-software-properties package.
