hey sorry yvan, just catching up on mail... :)
It seems to me that firewire audio is not really stable yet, and I
personally have no way of testing these issues. USB-audio is def more
usable and the recommended solution. The module loading issue is, as
anton says, fixed in the repos, but hasn't trickled down into an iso
yet (to use neo-liberal economics terminology ;)). As a quick fix you
can just
sudo chmod 0660 /dev/raw1384
I wouldn't necessarily recommend running jackd as root though, since
then you'd have to run all jack-ified apps as root too.
