Yay! even Gem and the webcam work on my eee! the solution was to
uninstall Gem (!)
i think this is a bug though: the packet pd-gem from the puredyne repo
should not be installable without unistalling the Gem Package from the
ubuntu repository, no?

It would be awesome to have a little step-by-step page for switchers.
i've started it here:
https://code.goto10.org/projects/puredyne/wiki/Ubuntu2puredyne
the screenshots show xfce, so i guess there should be a couple of steps how to
get there.

cool, that works.
what about interferences with the medibuntu repos? is that ok or a bad idea to
use pure:dyne and medibuntu together?
thanks, m.

Yep that's old doc and we need to remove it.
The truth is here:

Sooo... where is the repo?
the only information i find on the site is there:
http://code.goto10.org/projects/puredyne/wiki/DocInstallSystem#Installingpuredyneasmainsystem
and it suggests:
# GOTO10 Debian repository
deb http://debian.goto10.org/debian/ lenny main contrib non-free
deb-src http://debian.goto10.org/debian/ lenny main contrib non-free
that doesn't look right.

Yep, exactly right. Latest puredyne is based on ubuntu karmic, so the
repos contains packages mainly for karmicish flavours

hi,
can i convert an ubuntu installation by simply adding the puredyne repos?
the wiki assumes a debian installation, but that's for the old version, right?
thanks, m.
