oops, sorry for the noise, I had typed a wrong command (live as
parameter whereas i'm not on a live system)...
this one is better :
$ sudo ./make-live-device.sh puredyne-910-carrot_and_coriander-DVD.iso
/dev/sdb

err, finally I found that the key was not working...
it boots, but then it gives a gdm prompt proposing user live-debian user and lintian:lintian won't work.

i'll tell you if i get the same error here with this new key

Now I'm trying to remake it from a karmic machine (did it on a jaunty + ppa).
I get this error :

[*] copying live folder
./make-live-device.sh: line 108: pushd: /live/image: No such file or
directory
cpio: write error: No space left on device
./make-live-device.sh: line 110: pushd: no other directory
[*] sylinux configuration
mv: cannot stat `/mnt/make-live-device/isolinux/*': No such file or
directory
sed: can't read /mnt/make-live-device/*.cfg: No such file or directory
sed: can't read /mnt/make-live-device/*.txt: No such file or directory
mv: cannot stat `/mnt/make-live-device/isolinux.cfg': No such file or
directory
mv: cannot stat `/mnt/make-live-device/isolinux.bin': No such file or
directory
No free cluster 0 2
write in copy: No space left on device
mattrib: File "s:/ldlinux.sys" not found
syslinux: warning: failed to set system bit on ldlinux.sys
[*] cleaning up, unmounting and ...
[*] ...done.

then seeing "/live/image" in these error logs, it seems I can't make it work anyway from a Ubuntu+puredyne/PPA machine. Only from a full puredyne (liveHDD, USB, whatever), right ?

I finally managed to create a usb stick
I think I know the reason why it failed. On the 'karmic+puredyneppa' machine I used, only "syslinux-common" (puredyne ppa version) was installed but not "syslinux".

On the current computer i'm using (jaunty), i've got these 2 packages installed (from puredyne ppa). And the script succeeded in making the usb bootable.

hope it helps other who could have the same problem.

yes you need the latest version of syslinux provided in our PPA.

The script should verify that the right version is installed, I think
there is a bug report for this one ..

a.
