Thanks for the speedy replies. I did "sudo aptitude update" and "sudo aptitude safe-upgrade", as well as 'sudo apt-get update' as recommended in terminal, all successfully (after a few passes). This did not yield the desired result, though it did apparently upgrade my 9.10 CD install to 9.11 CD.
What I want is a way to install/add ALL the packages from puredyne 9.11 DVD to my running puredyne 9.11 CD OS, without having to do it by hand/type out all these additional apps. I'm hoping there's a way to do a full update over the internet which which will result in my having a FULL puredyne 9.11 DVD installation vs my present puredyne 9.11 CD installation. This may be similar to installing/updating a standard Ubuntu to puredyne DVD perhaps? I already have the 9.11 iso, maybe I need to mount it and add it as a local repository? -what would the command be? PS - This is the Studendous-OS! -- View this message in context: http://n3.nabble.com/Update-running-puredyne-9-10-CD-to-puredyne-9-11-DVD-tp725790p727143.html Sent from the Puredyne mailing list archive at Nabble.com. --- [email protected] http://identi.ca/group/puredyne irc://irc.goto10.org/puredyne
