hi
for some reasons my .bash_aliases get lost.
I have to:
$ . ~/.bash_aliases
each time I open a new term to have them.

what obvious thing am I missing ?
perhaps
if [ -f ~/.bash_aliases ]; then
    . ~/.bash_aliases
fi
in your .bashrc ?

Are you really using bash? The default shell in puredyne is zsh. So if
you're in zsh then add gunner's code to your .zshrc perhaps
