yes, maybe. it's indeed related to allocated memory size (and linear).
But I don't known if a faster processor can allocated faster the hugepages or 
not.

(and it's qemu which allocated the memory when qemu process is started)

Applied, but I don't feel too awesome about it. 
OTOH a heuristic changing the timeout based on the amount of 
to-be-allocated memory wouldn't feel better either.
