Hi,
1.x is not maintained anymore, don´t use. Move to 2.x.
Latest stable packages (and kernel) are in the stable repository, see also
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Package_repositories
And also important:
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Downloads#Update_a_running_Proxmox_Virtual_Environment_2.x_to_latest_2.2
here you will the output of 'pveversion -v', also containing the kernel.
