Hi, I'm always using intel network cards for my san, good drivers and good performance.
Your model is good, it shouldn't be a problem. ----- Mail original ----- De: "Tonči Stipičević" <[email protected]> À: [email protected] Envoyé: Jeudi 24 Janvier 2013 22:45:26 Objet: [PVE-User] NIC - Bond Hello Everybody I would like to achieve better performance by teaming NICs on the host. Are two PWLA8391GTLBLK INTEL Network Card PRO/1000 GT (10/100/1000Base-T, 1000Mbps, Bulk, Gigabit Ethernet, lowprofile PCI) NICs good enough to be bond in or der to get higher performance ? Switch and NAS will also be running trunked NICs What NICs are recomme nded for teaming in proxmox ? thank you very much in advance and srdačan pozdrav / best regards Tonči Stipičević direktor / manager d.o.o. ltd. podrška / upravljanje IT sustavima za male i srednje tvrtke Small & Medium Business IT support / management Badalićeva 27 / 10000 Zagreb / Hrvatska – Croatia url: www.suma-informatika.hr mob: +385 91 1234003 fax: +385 1 5560007 On 24.01.2013 12:00, [email protected] wrote: Send pve-user mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://pve.proxmox.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pve-user or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of pve-user digest..." I use LVM snapshot to backup, freeze and revert VM (each VM has its LVM on SAN). But.... LVM snapshot freeze the VM at a specific time but into the VM the FS is not consistent. I know the modern FS use journal.. and a simple fsck solves the problem. But... db or ms exchange do not like this treatment. I can activate VSS into MS VM before create LVM snapshot ? Or can I set the VM in stable state before activate it ? The only (stable) solution I found is to shutdow the VM server, create the snapshot LVM and immediately start it. OK, but it isn't the best solution. Any idea ?
