Sorry,
I thought that forum and list was differents.

When I create a new VM in LVM Group, it's raw format only. I'm searching at proxmox system and find the vm-disk at /dev/LVMGroup/vm-100-disk-1.

If I launch #ls -la /dev/LVMGroup/ it takes a symbolic link to /dev/dm-6. Then I copy "vm.raw" to "/dev/dm-6" and it works. But.... is the correct way?

What do you think?

Thanks

Pls do not ask the same in the forum and in mailing list. This just doubles work for all others reading it and does not lead to a faster answer.

*Subject:* [PVE-User] LVM Group and VMDK

Hi,

I have a LVMGroup in a proxmox-cluster and I wanto to import from vmware.
I convert from .vmdk to qcow2 (or raw) with qemu-img.
But when I create a new VM in the LVM I only could used raw format and I don't know where could I find the disk for change with import disk.

Somebody knows how could I import a vmdk to proxmox in a LVM group.

Thanks!
