Hi,
I was wondering if anyone currently has vzdmp configured to incorporate the vm
hostname in the backup filename.
We are currently using openvz pretty heavily and it would be really nice to
have this flexibility.
Thanks in advance,
Shain

Hi Shain,
I'm looking also on how to do that via the web-gui of proxmox, but in
commandline it can be done.
Just curious why you wanted to change the vzdump filename with the VM hostname?
Because every vzdump whether successful or not you get an email about it and
able to track it?
Regards,
Anderson

Hi,
I join the request. I think it is enough to add an option in vzdump to add
a name, but by default it is necessary to keep the old format for
compatibility with other programs.
