Hi, a zfs module is currently in dev by a proxmox user (check the proxmox dev mailing). (works with any zfs-opensolaris san, tested with omnios os for now)
and they are also a nexenta module available. Both manage zvols and manage iscsi luns. (and you can use native zfs snapshot/rollback/clone) ----- Mail original ----- De: "Erick Zozoaga Gómez" <[email protected]> À: "Måns Åman" <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected] Envoyé: Jeudi 29 Août 2013 19:40:23 Objet: Re: [PVE-User] SAN recommendation. Very good point, I was not aware... I see that now is in testing phase, but it will be a good option for those who can do without the magic of ZFS. Hello, We have using OpenFiler in production for more than 2 years. Personally, I dont like Openfiler thus we have tested Nexenta, FreeNas, Nas4free and OpenMediaVault and always for some reason we had to return to Openfiler, now we have 6 Openfiler servers and these have been very very stable and fast. On the other hand, OpenFiler is old software, foolish to handle a rPath outdated Linux distro. I would look for new options like the recommended in the thread.
