Possible reasons:

 
-          Your temp storage is out of space (df h)

-          Your disk drives have errors (smartctl --all /dev/sdX)

 
Does this happen only with a specific VM or with all VMs?

Could you try making a backup from the command line using vzdump? Post the 
output here.

Guys,

I face below error if take backup of VM:
vzdump  101 --dumpdir .  
INFO: starting new backup job: vzdump 101 --dumpdir .
INFO: Starting Backup of VM 101 (qemu)
INFO: status = stopped
INFO: update VM 101: -lock backup
INFO: backup mode: stop
INFO: ionice priority: 7
INFO: creating archive './vzdump-qemu-101-2013_09_10-15_44_24.vma'
INFO: starting kvm to execute backup task
ERROR: unable to read file 
'./vzdump-qemu-101-2013_09_10-15_44_24.tmp/qemu-server.conf'
INFO: aborting backup job
INFO: stopping kvm after backup task
ERROR: Backup of VM 101 failed - unable to read file 
'./vzdump-qemu-101-2013_09_10-15_44_24.tmp/qemu-server.conf'
INFO: Backup job finished with errors
job errors

 
The backup of VM fails. Tried googling this issue, but no luck.
