Thanks Fabio for your kind input. i will keep on learning on this application, from learning perspective nappit is easy. but i am worried that if some thing fails in production what will i do after that because the problem can only be extracted from SSH.
@Gerald Brandt would you please share some details about your "ubuntu + DRBD + IET" box Can you please share the hardware specs in details (RAID CARD, Number of Drives, Capacity, RAM etc.)? as you know writes are slow on DRBD how come you manage that? what was the Ethernet throughput 1GB or less? how it performed under heavy load?
