You should be able to double click on the area of the
gui show the 'task history' (bottom of the screen) for that task.

That will open a larger window with a stop or cancel button for that action.

Mmmm, as far as I can see I do not see a "cancel".
Perhaps killing the process? Doing

ps -ef | grep clone

and with the returning PID

kill -9 PID

Just my two cents.
