I changed the options (and added "soft") in /etc/pve/storage.cfg for
such issues, and the server shouldn't hang anymore.
example:
nfs: nas-backup
path /mnt/pve/nas-backup
server 192.168.1.x
export /whatever/backup
options vers=3,soft
content backup
nodes proxmox
maxfiles 10
