This issue doesn’t describe the problem that a current debian wheezy 64bit has
a kernel panic with this option.

If you set this parameter to the /etc/sysctl.conf you will see the kernel panic
while the boot process.

The next point is, this kernel is provided by who? Proxmox!

apt-cache show pve-kernel-2.6.32-29-pve
        Package: pve-kernel-2.6.32-29-pve
Maintainer: Proxmox Support Team <[email protected]>

On my CentOS machines with 2.6.32-042stab083.2 (provided by openVZ) is
everything working fine with this options by command line and/or by file
settings (/etc/sysctl.con), no kernel panic no reboot, just working ;)

Has no one else this issue or any ideas?

Cheers
Christian
