For working live snapshots the following options exists:
File system based:
1) Local storage using Qcow2
2) ISCSI LUN not marked 'direct LUN' where a file system is created on
and using Qcow2
3) NFS shared storage using Qcow2

Block based through ISCSI:
1) Ceph using RAW
2) Nexenta using RAW
3) ZFS based storage using RAW
4) Sheepdog using RAW
