In fact, i had a look in ceph since your previous mail.( February, 5th). And Ceph seems really interesting indeed! No SPOF, no need for external SAN,.... i'm currently working on the change in configuration. (In fact, i'm waiting for my reseller sending me proxmox-subscription license&tickets).
Filling the 3 servers with 1 SSD (for journal) and (at least) 4 disks. Pretty elegant solution, no SPOF, but ...no experience on ceph (on the opposite, i'm used to ZFS..which is not a clustered FS..). To be continued.
