Hi Gary,

Do you have your own DNS server on your network? You need to either manually 
add those IP address' to your DNS server with their hostname. Or you need to 
tell your Containers to report their name to the DNS server when they get their 
IP address from the DHCP server.

I don't know the procedure for the second option, don't know enough about Linux 
to do it myself.

I am a nubie and I have just installed PROXMOX 4.1 with 2 LXC containers 
(Fileserver & MySQL from turnkey). I can access both of these via their 
IP address but not via their host names. Nor can I find the proxmox 
server by its host name. I have the containers set up to use dns so the 
IP addresses change over time. I really want to use the host names 
especially to access MySQL. Any help is appreciated.
