Promox 4 has way more issues than 3.4 did. My stability has gotten significantly worse when I went to 4.

And a week later… it hung. So NFSv4 doesn't solve the problem. It just
makes it less frequent it seems.

Not one problem since then…

Hi,

For what it's worth, I just migrated my servers to proxmox 4, and also
having random (one every week) NFS hangs, while the NFS server is still
available. Only rebooting my server did the trick both times.

Hi
I don't know why, but seems to me NFS doesn't work with Proxmox....
I have trouble ins the pass with simple Storage and NFS.
Because of that I switch to glusterFS.
GlusterFS can also work as NFS server.
I suggest you give a try...

Cheers

Hi,

I have a 3 node Proxmox Cluster. Two of the nodes are partially
non-responsive this morning.

Weekend snapshots to an NFS drive hung.
Trying to look at the NFS via Proxmox results in communication failure.
Looking via command line is fine.
Trying to migrate VM's off of box results in communication failure
(Timeout)
Looking at a single VM's summary shows no data and communication failure
All VM's show as online

I've seen similar, but with all VM's showing as offline and VM numbers
only, no names. So this is different.

Is restarting pve-manager recommended here?

Gerald

restarting pve-manager didn't help. Looks like a Proxmox reboot, but
without being able to migrate the VM's off, it's downtime.
