Thomas,

Thank you I'll keep that in mind. Should I keep the main debian repo in my sources.list? I had removed it in the past due to sometimes pulling incompatible packages (like OVS).

My sources.list

# debian jessie main
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian jessie main contrib

# proxmox no subscription
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian jessie pve-no-subscription

# security updates
deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main contrib

Alwin,

Yes I did apt-get update prior to upgrade and dist-upgrade. And several
times after ;)
I see you resolved the issue already but as a hint for the future:

apt-get upgrade is not recommended, always update with:
apt-get dist-upgrade

cheers,
Thomas

I do have the correct sources right? Should I also be using the jessie main
from debian? I always keep that out due to sometimes getting incompatible
packages. Up until now the two below were the only ones I ever needed.

# proxmox no subscription
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian jessie pve-no-subscription
# security updates
deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main contrib

Maks,

did you do a apt-get update prior your upgrade? May you try another one?
I have tested the upgrade a second ago on one of my cluster machines
with no problem.

Alwin

Jean,

No luck, still fails with same errors. Only difference with using
aptitude
was it removed the old unneeded packages.

hello Maks,

maybe this is obvious but did you tried : apt-get -f install ?
Usually it cab help with dependency issues… and sometimes using
aptitude
