I trying to get cPanel up and running on a ProxMox VE 4.1 LXC container.
I have gotten it going with some success, however, I am unable to
perform any of the modifications that cPanel recommends here:
https://documentation.cpanel.net/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=14550793
Making any of these changes causes the container not to boot. The result
is weird permissions related issues, and very high CPU usage.
Thanks,

I see. Well I ended up firing it up in a KVM VM, but I have this
obnoxious error when I try to use SSH that states:
"server would not allocate pty".
It's CentOS 7 so there is no MAKEDEV, and when I disable psuedo
terminals in putty, it just hangs. It works totally fine via VNC console
but I can't get SSH to work at all.
Anybody have ideas on that one?

cPanel absolutely does support LXC on 11.52+, please see this documentation

The suggestion to run with A profile "unconfined" gives the container full
access to the host. While you can do that, it is very dangerous, and defeats the
purpose of a container IMHO. I would run that inside a VM instead.
