It should improve performance for vms with big memory (like database for 
example)

Yes... I do that... 
Actually, as I found out after, there is no need to reboot, since you can 
add the hugepage configuration send echo madvise > 
/sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled 

My doubt is if this configuration bring to me some advantage over KSM or 
other tecnique...
