Just put a dumb $29 netgear switch in place, and the problem still occurs.

Try putting a "dumb" switch to interconnect all 3 proxmox nodes. Put an uptlink cable to the "original" switch.

I now it works, it's a switch problem - maybe it is broken, maybe it is too smart and is dropping cluster communication packages.

I have seen this two times:
- One switch was broken and lost packages -> new switch
- Other switch was core 3Com switch; we seemed unable to configure it not to drop our cluster communication packets, so just bought a dumb enought HP 1810-24g switch just for the proxmox nodes and problem solved.

Cheers

Hi,

My proxmox server intermittently don't see each other anymore. I keep losing quorum.

I have 3 Proxmox servers, and they will randomly not see each other. For a few seconds proxmox-2 will see proxmox-1, but not proxmox-3. Then it'll switch and proxmox-2 will only see proxmox-3, then it will see no one but itself.

I have the IP and names in /etc/hosts and in DNS.

Any idea where I can start looking?
