I should probably clarify some of the details, if you specify -- ioports {3334-3349} --metaports 3334, you end up with server config files like so:

server.conf-<hostname>_<port>

whereas before you just had server.conf-<hostname>

Also, the storage locations created have port suffixes as well:

/pvfs2-storage-space-<port>
