Sounds good to me. Could we also have http://www.pvfs.org/pvfs2 jump
to http://www.pvfs.org? Some users might have the pvfs2 url
bookmarked (or their fingers type it automatically, which is my
problem). Right now we're just showing the contents of the pvfs2
directory.

Probably the biggest changes are needed in the documentation (FAQ,
quickstart etc.) and those should probably be done in the tree first.
Brad also suggested we add an FAQ entry to explain the 1, 2, and
lack thereof.
Another issue to consider is that there are a number default file
names that have the 2 - like the executable names even source
stuff. We need to decide how much of that we actually want to
change and when and how to do that.
So, comments are solicited.
