Broke --without-opennsl.
With openssl (default on FC4 system, no configure args):
../pvfs2/src/common/misc/digest.c:32: error: 'CRYPTO_LOCK' undeclared
(first use in this function)
etc. due to missing HAVE_OPENSSL_CRYPTO_H (and EVH).
