when compiling the latest 2.6.0 release on our ppc64 box I get the

did I mess up the configure or something?

This ppc64 box.. what distribution is it? Are you building with a
bi-arch toolchain, or one that is pure 64 bit?
debian distro. As long as hozer hasnt changed anything, I should be
building pure 64, we(I) had issues cross compiling pvfs2 on this box
this summer and I thought things were moved back to pure 64.
This is stock 32 bit debian, which now has a working biarch compiler.
The problem turned out to be that 'make distclean' does not actually
clean up *-threaded.o
