That sounds pretty good to me. Also, the validate tool should make a distinction between files with characters which are truly invalid and those which are just wierd. Oh, and remmber that time Kyle was wondering why ls was displaying things funny, but it turned out one of the files in the directory was created in Fortran and the name was padded out with about 100 extra spaces? maybe that's another sort of thing this tool could warn about: valid characters used in wierd ways. ==rob -- Rob Latham Mathematics and Computer Science Division A215 0178 EA2D B059 8CDF Argonne National Lab, IL USA B29D F333 664A 4280 315B _______________________________________________ Pvfs2-developers mailing list [email protected] http://www.beowulf-underground.org/mailman/listinfo/pvfs2-developers
