when you mention diferences between pvfs2-client-core and pvfs2-sysint
applications, one difference is that only pvfs2-client-core makes use
of PVFS_sys_testsome, whereas the pvfs2-sysint tools use our blocking
routines, implemented with PVFS_sys_wait. 

Just throwing that out there.
