Updating to the latest head version fixed our corruption issue with files smaller than our strip size (< 1048576 bytes). For files larger than our strip size, we still have attribute corruption, so the data is effectively lost. Our next step looks like it will be recreating the file system :-(

Once files got in that state, we were not able to recover them. We could not determine the source of the corruption, but updating to the latest head version seems to stop the corruption on our system. Permissions I see some of the file on our pvfs2 file system have these weird permissions and this leads to longer turnaround time on simple commands as "ls". Any idea what could cause this, and how to fix this. I tried to chmod on these files, but it failed.
