From what I have seen, even 'sequential' pvfs2 accesses are handled in
a very non-sequential manner when it reaches the physical disk. Would
anyone know if enabling NCQ, or other command queuing behaviors would be
beneficial for performance?
In general we disable queuing because maintaining the queue on the disk
presents a performance hit for our entirely sequential disk access
patterns, but I would consider enabling it if this would be overcome by
the benefits?
Does anyone have any experience with this and pvfs2 filesystems?
